P&O Ferries and SOL Continent Line combine services between the UK, Benelux and Scandinavia
P&O Ferries and SOL Continent Line are combining selected services, creating a strong traffic triangle between the UK, Benelux and Scandinavia. With just one booking forwarders can now ship their freight from Tilbury and Teesport via Zeebrugge to Gothenburg.Traffic from the UK to Scandinavia and vice versa is thus available through four weekly departures from Tilbury and four from Teesport respectively.
The new services combine the daily routes Tilbury – Zeebrugge and Teesport – Zeebrugge operated by P&O Ferries with SOL Continent Line’s service between Zeebrugge and Gothenburg, Scandinavia’s largest port. Bookings can be made through SOL Continent Line’s booking systems.
“With this cooperation we can add a strong Scandinavian dimension to our transport services”, explains Commercial Director Janette Bell at P&O Ferries. “Access to Scandinavia from Southern England and the North of the United Kingdom is now much improved and easily bookable”.
“We are happy to announce this professional partnership with P&O Ferries that provides a logical extension to our Gothenburg-Zeebrugge service”. By this, we can offer a convenient, frequent and fast access to and from the UK, says Ragnar Johansson, MD at Swedish Orient Line AB. “For SOL Continent Line and our customers this means that we now offer services ranging from Estonia, Finland, Sweden and Germany to Benelux and the UK”.
