Record-breaking result achieved by Port Vysotsky (Leningrad Region)

Record-breaking result has been achieved at the coal terminal of the port of Vysotsk (Leningrad Region). On July 30, 2015, it unloaded 290 open-top wagons with coal, says press center of Port Vysotsky LLC.

 

“Such a result has been achieved for the first time in Vysotsk, the statement says.

 

Port of Vysotsk is located in the Leningrad Region of Russia. There are two stevedoring companies operating at the port: Port Vysotsky LLC and RPK-Vysotsk-LUKOIL-II LLC. In May 2012, the Russian government decided to expand the Vysotsk port territory, including in its boundaries the land and adjacent waters occupied by facilities of a general cargo terminal under construction. The terminal capacity is projected to reach 3 million tonnes a year. Port Vysotsky LLC specializes in transshipment of Russian coal to the Western Europe. The port’s water area and the approach canal are 12.7 meters deep with the width of the canal totaling 200 metres. In 2014, the company handled 5.27 mln t of cargo (+7.4%).
