In January-July 2015, cargo transportation within the area of responsibility of FSI Azov-Don Basin Authority totaled 4,841,000 t (-32.4%, year-on-year), the Authority told IAA PortNews.
Transportation of heavy fuel oil fell 1.6% to 1,756,000 t, sulphur – 28.5% to 675,000, diesel fuel – 18.2% to 532,000 t, vacuum gasoil - 3.6 times to 485,000 t, crashed stone – 40.1% to 279,000 t.
Total turnover of vessels - 3,243 (-22.8%, year-on-year) including 1,060 vessels in July.
In July, cargo transportation within the Azov-Don River Basin fell 24.6%, year-on-year, to 1,498,000 t mostly heavy fuel oil (36.9%), diesel fuel (13.3%), vacuum gasoil (11.2%), sulphur (8.5%) and crashed stone (7.4%).
In July, transit fell 28.1% to 1,248,000 t while internal turnover did not change against the level of the previous year – 250,000 t.
Total length of waterways within the area of responsibility of FSI Azov-Don Basin Authority is 691.3 km.
