On August 7, 2015, Yaroslavsky Shipbuilding Plant held a ceremonial launching of the Pilot Baskakov workboat, ice class boat of project WB22MT-1 built to the order of FSUE Rosmorport under the shipyard’s programme approved by Rosmorrechflot, press center of Rosmorport says.
The delivery of the boat is scheduled for January 2016, upon completion of fitting, sea trials and readiness tests. This Ice 2 class vessel is intended for operation at the Arkhangelsk Branch of FSUE Rosmorport.
The boat can operate in severe weather conditions: in open sea with waves of up to 3.5 m, which is to improve pilotage services at the port of Arkhangelsk. The boat of similar modification showed good results during Winter Olympics 2014 in Sochi.
