Newbuilding LNG carrier for Kansai Electric Power named LNG JUROJIN

Mitsui O.S.K. Lines, Ltd. today took part in a naming ceremony for the newbuilding liquefied natural gas carrier LNG JUROJIN, which is co-owned by MOL and Kansai Electric Power Co., Inc. , at the Nagasaki Shipyard & Machinery Works of Mitsubishi Heavy Industries, Ltd.

After delivery, the LNG JUROJIN will serve a broad range of LNG transport projects, including the Ichthys LNG Project.

(3) Draft : 11.55m

(4) LNG tank : Stretched MOSS independent stretched spherical-type tank system  with continuous tank cover

(5) Deadweight tonnage : 136,739tons

(6) Tank capacity : 155,300m3

     Actual loading capacity : 153,000m3

(7) Main engine : Reheating system steam turbine

(8) Speed : 19.5knots

(9) Shipyard : Mitsubishi Heavy Industries Shipbuilding, Co., Ltd.
