Multipurpose Reloading Complex (Ust-Luga) increased financing of environmental programme

In January-September of 2015 LLC “Multipurpose Reloading Complex” (MRC) in the port of Ust-Luga (Leningrad region) transferred 5.6 mln Rubles for the implementation of the environmental campaigns which is 4 times more than during the same period of the last year, MRC says. 
The increase of financing sums was caused by performing of works on expansion of dust suppression system of MRC. The company transferred part of the funds for purchase of mobile dust suppression plant WLP-700T, the use of which allowed to increase environmental safety during handling of coal at the terminal. 
Within the reporting period MRC took measures to preserve water resources. In particular, the company regularly monitored quality of natural waters, checked use of coastal area and treatment of waste water.
The company also monitored air on the border of protection area. The results of this monitoring confirmed that air meets air quality targets.
In order to ensure safe handling of production and consumption wastes MRC performed their regular recording and removal and controlled places of their temporary accumulation.
LLC “Multipurpose Reloading Complex” (included in UCL Port- stevedoring division of the International transportation group UCL Holding) is a cargo terminal in the port of Ust-Luga in the Leningrad region, specializing in reception, storage and shipment of export and import general and bulk cargoes. Main cargo reloaded by the company is export power generating coal. In 2014 the turnover of LLC “MRC” amounted to 4 mln. tons of cargo.
