MSC offers new direct call to Japan on westbound Pearl service

MSC has announced a new direct service to Japan on its westbound Pearl Service from USWC. Effective from early February 2016, MSC’s ‘Pearl’ service, which is jointly operated with Maersk Line under the 2M VSA, will add an additional port call to Yokohama on its westbound string. The new enhanced service from USWC to Yokohama in Japan will take just 14 days from LA and 12 days from Oakland, California. Not only will US-based customers benefit from a direct service but also faster transit times from USWC to Japan, enabling them to better service their customers.
The first sailing is MSC La Spezia (14,000 TEU) which will depart from LA on February 7th and Oakland on February 9th.
