ESPO oil exports via Oil Port Kozmino by Transneft jumped by 22% in 2015 to 30.4 million tonnes

Export of ESPO crude oil from the Oil Port Kozmino in 2015 rose to 30.4 million tonnes, up 5.5 million tonnes, or 22 % more than in 2014, Transneft Kozmino Port, LLC said.

The ESPO oil blend was exported in 2015 to the following counties: China - 14.7 million tonnes (48.3%), Japan - 8.7 million tonnes (28.7%), South Korea - 3.2 million tonnes (10.5% ). Transneft exported 700,000 tonnes to the U.S.A., Singapore and New Zealand (2.3%), to the Philippines - 0.6 million tonnes (1.9%), Thailand - 0.5 million tonnes (1.6%), Taiwan – 0.3 million tonnes (1%), Malaysia – 0.2 million tonnes (0.8%).

In 2015 the first cargo of ESPO oil (100,000 tonnes) was shipped for the first time from the port of Kozmino to Vietnam (0.3%).
Overall, in just six years from the commissioning of the pipeline system Eastern Siberia - Pacific Ocean and "Transneft-Kozmino Port" (28 December 2009), more than 123 million tonnes of crude oil have been exported throught the Far Eastern terminal of Transneft.
In 2016 Transneft plans to export via Oil Port Kozmino to the Asia-Pacific region about 31 million tonnes of crude oil, or 600,000 tonnes more than in 2015.

Transneft Kozmino Port LLC in conjunction with FSUE Rosmorport carries out the port expansion project, including overhaul of the dam and dredging of the basin of Berth No 2. This will allow two berths to accommodate 150,000DWT oil tankers. The oil port capacity will be increased through the construction of new oil storage tanks.

Transneft Kozmino Port, LLC is a subsidiary of Transneft JSC. Oil Terminal of Kozmino is the terminus of the Eastern Siberia – Pacific Ocean pipeline system (ESPO). The port was built for transshipment of crude oil delivered by pipeline and railway to sea-going oil tankers.
