For the 6th time, the Danish Maritime Authority has – in cooperation with IALA – arranged the international conference ’e-Navigation Underway’, which will take place on board the Oslo Ferry on 2-4 February 2016.
Since 2011, ’e-Navigation Underway’ has gathered 100 to 200 major players from all over the world each year to take stock of developments within e-Navigation and consider the way forward.
The conference is still one of the most important global meeting places for an open dialogue and discussion of the potential of using modern technology to promote maritime information sharing.
The conference theme is ’coordinated efforts’. Special focus will be on the e-Navigation infrastructure since the infrastructure is to facilitate the exchange of information that e-Navigation is, to a high degree, all about.
This year's keynote speakers are Director General of the Danish Maritime Authority Andreas Nordseth and the newly elected Secretary-General of the IMO Kitack Lim.
