In January-February 2016, seaport of Azov handled up 729,000 t of cargo (+16.9%, year-on-year), the port Harbour Master Vladimir Bragin told IAA PortNews.
In the reported period, transshipment of grain climbed by 27.8% to 487,000 t, transshipment of oil products fell by 10.1% to 109,000 t, coal – fell by 5.6% to 89,000 t.
In January-February 2016, exports climbed by 31.6% to 669,000 t. Imports fell by 41.8% to 14,500 t, transshipment of coastal trade cargo by 47.9% to 45,500 t. No transit cargo was handled in January-February 2016 while in the two months period of 2015 – 3,000 t.
The number of incoming/outgoing ships amounted to 233/211 against 177/175 registered in Jan-Feb'16.
Sea port Azov is located in the mouth of river Don.
