The Murmansk Region Government and Russian Federal Fisheries Agency sign a 5-year agreement on interaction in fishing industry. According to the press center of the Murmansk Region Government, the agreement was signed within the framework of the International Forum on Shipbuilding and Safe Shipping “Fishing Fleet – New Impulse to Development” by Murmansk Region Governor Marina Kovtun and Ilya Shestakov, head of Russian Federal Fisheries Agency.
According to Marina Kovtun, cooperation will first cover the following activities: support of aquaculture, information exchange, improvement of legislation related to fishing industry and executing of presidential orders.
Besides, a number of other agreements were signed at the Forum including that between Vympel Shipyard and Association of Coastal Fisheries and Fish Farms of Murmansk and a contract between the Trawler Fleet of Arkhangelsk and Vyborg Shipyard.
