Icebreaker escort services period is over at port Ust-Luga and at the approaches from April 12, 2016. According to Ice Operations Headquarters of Baltic Sea Ports Administration, navigation of small size vessels, leisure and sport boats is allowed starting from 00:00 (Moscow time) by Harbour Master’s Order No 07/16-r.
Water area of port Ust-Luga and its approaches are ice-free.
The Neva Bay is ice-free. Port of Primorsk access channels and water area are ice-free.
The 5-15cm-thick ice is reported on the approaches to the port of Vysotsk, rotten land ice is observed on the Vysotsk-Vyborg channel. Approaches to the Vyborg Bay are ice free.
Icebreaker Kapitan M. Izmailov operates at the approaches to port Vyborg and port Vysotsk.
The Vladivostok and the Murmansk icebreakers are on their way to port Murmansk for trials. The Yury Lisyansky, Semyon Dezhnev, Kapitan Zarubin, Saint-Petersburg, Mudyug, Yermak, Kapitan Sorokin, Kapitan Nikolayev, Karu, Ivan Kruzenshtern and Kapitan Plakhin icebreakers are available for operation (operational reserve of Rosmorport’s North-Western Basin Branch).
