‘Eurasia Transport Route’ between Korea, Russia, and China opens

Busan Port Authority(BPA) stated on the 13th that a new route q-from Heilongjiang in China to Busan via Vladivostok, Russia has opened.

‘Hyundai Unity’ was the first vessel that entered Busan New Port, with 100 containers on the 12th, traveling through the new route. These cargoes were transported q-from Harbin to Vladivostok by trucks q-and trains, then they were shipped to Hyundai Unity heading to Busan New Port.

Previously, cargoes q-from Heilongjiang·Jilin were transported through Dalian Port which is located 1700km away. However, the new route will save more than 1000km by traveling through Vladivostok.

BPA said “We expect more than 6000 cargoes will be shipped through the new route annually. Hence, it will play a crucial role in increasing cargo volume.”
