Throughput of port Kavkaz up 8% to 4,913,000 t in Jan-Apr'16

In January-April 2016, port Kavkaz handled 4,913,000 t (+8%, year-on-year), Harbour Master of port Kavkaz Yevgeny Tuzinkevich told IAA PortNews.

Off-harbour transshipment complex handled 856,000 t (down 43%, year-on-year).

Transshipment of grain grew by 60% to 285,000 t, oil products – down 25% to 1,710,000 t, LPG – down 15% to 78,000 t, sulphur and mineral fertilizers - down 2% to 283,000 t.

Exports from port Kavkaz fell by 26% to 229,000 t, imports – down 7.5 times to 27,500 t. Transshipment of coastal trade cargo increased by 56% to 3,725,000 t.

Bunker sales at the port dropped by 45% to 75,000 t.

Passenger turnover climbed by 41% to 857,483 passengers. 

The number of calls increased by 45% to 5,970 calls.
