Gazpromneft Marine Bunker Ltd says it has performed the first bunker fuel delivery to a vessel operated by the world’s largest sea cruise company Royal Caribbean Cruises Ltd during the 2016 navigation season. On May 8 Gazpromneft East bunkering vessel supplied the Celebrity Silhouette cruise ship (DWT 9500 tonnes, length 315 meters, capacity over 2800 passengers) that was performing the 12-day voyage from Amsterdam via Rostock, Tallinn, St Petersburg, Helsinki, Stockholm and Copenhagen. The volume of fuels for this cruise is about 1000 tonnes of IFO and 200 tonnes of MGO. The bunkering operation took place in the Passenger port of St Petersburg.
Gazpromneft Marine Bunker supplies cruise vessels operated by Royal Caribbean Cruises Ltd since 2008. In 2014 Gazprom Neft’s bunkering business operator received the special 'For Valuable Contribution' award from Royal Caribbean as one of the company’s most reliable suppliers. The current agreement with the world’s major cruise operator provides the total volume of bunker fuels to be delivered of nearly 40 thousand tonnes during May-October span.
