Containerships is further extending its network by launching direct service between ports of Teesport, Rotterdam and Neva Metal terminal in St. Petersburg. Service will complement recently established connection between Neva Metal terminal Lübeck and Aarhus, the company said in its press release.
Neva Metal Terminal will be included to the weekly service on the Baltic loop as follows:
• East Bound Service:
Teesport Friday – Rotterdam Saturday – Helsinki – Neva Metal Thursday - Moby Dik Thursday
• West Bound Service:
Neva Metal Thursday - Helsinki Saturday – Klaipeda Sunday– Teesport Wednesday – Rotterdam Thursday
The service will start with the first sailing of mv. Containerships VIII from Teesport Friday 27th of May / Rotterdam Saturday 28th of May with arrival to Neva Metal terminal on Thursday 2nd of June. There will be no impact on the current regular connections between Rotterdam, Teesport and St. Petersburg Moby Dik terminal.
Neva Metal is located on the north side of the same peninsula as the First Container Terminal and is served by Baltic customs. One of the advantages is a direct railway connection on the terminal that further improves our transit time to locations further afield within Russia and Central Asia.
The terminal is equipped with hangar style warehousing, enabling covered cross-docking for both dry and refrigerated cargoes.
