Resource potential under Transneft’s Yug project will make 10.9 mln t of diesel fuel per year by 2021, IAA PortNews journalist cites Vladimir Nazarov, Vice-President of Transneft, as saying at the meeting of the Company’s Expert Council held in Moscow.
According to him, the project is to be completed in 2020.
Yug Project is the most significant project implemented by Transneft, JSC at the moment in Volgograd Region. In 2015 construction of Volgograd – Tikhoretsk oil products trunk pipeline (OPTP) started, construction of 218 km of the linear portion and one pipe-end pump station (PEPS) is planned. Implementation of the project “Construction of Volgograd Refinery– Tinguta PEPS OPTP” has started, as part of which construction of one PEPS and laying of 55 km of the linear portion is provided. One products pump station will be constructed as part of extension of capacity of trunk pipelines of the Yug Project in the section Volgograd – Novorossiysk up to 11 million tons a year.
In 2016 reconstruction of Kuibyshev – Tikhoretsk and Zhirnovsk – Volgograd oil trunk pipelines is planned for the purpose of providing oil charge to Volgograd Refinery in the amount of up to 14.5 million tons. As part of this project three oil pump stations will be reconstructed in Volgograd Region in 2016-2018.
Yug Project provides for construction of oil product pipeline to export diesel fuel of Euro-5 standard and to deliver it to Russia’s southern region.
