Samskip has announced it will be increasing the frequency of its barge service between Rotterdam and Duisburg to six transports per week. The service will be maintained by Pro-Log, which will be deploying a second vessel in addition to the ‘Theodela’. This allows the company to also include a call on Nijmegen in its itinerary in the near future.
By now, Pro-Log and Samskip have been working together along this route for 10 years. In this period, the ‘Theodela’ has completed 2,876 round trips. According to Samskip, this has resulted in savings of 479,415 kg in CO2 emissions compared to road transport.
