Balt Flot 12, tanker of Project RST2, built by Nizhny Novgorod based Krasnoye Sormovo shipyard (United Shipbuilding Corporation) has been delivered to BF Tanker Танкер. The shipyard says the acceptance/delivery certificate was signed on July 7, 2016. 

Balt Flot 12 is the second tanker built for BF Tanker. 

The contract for construction and delivery of two tankers of Project RST27 involving State Transport Leasing Company (STLC PJSC) was signed by Krasnoye Sormovo and BF Tanker in September 2015 with the assistance of MNP Group (Manager of shipbuilding projects).  

The vessel was launched on May 11, 2016. In June the tanker successfully passed the sea trials and outfitting. Following the signing of the acceptance/delivery certificate the tanker leaves for Saint-Petersburg, her port of destination.

RST27 project vessels of Volga-Don Max class meet the dimensions of the Volga-Don Ship Canal and Volga-Baltic Waterway. LOA - 140.85 m, beam - 16.7 m, depth - 6 m, sea / river DWT – 6,980 /5,378 tonnes with draft of 4.2 / 3.6 m.

The tanker is designed for mixed sea/river transportation of crude oil and oil products (two types of cargo), including gasoline, with no flash point.

The RST27 project was developed to the class of Russian Maritime Register of Shipping KM Ice1 R2 AUT1-ICS OMBO VCS ECO-S Oil tanker (ESP). The project was developed by Marine Engineering Bureau. Detailed design was developed by Volgo - Caspian Design Bureau (Nizhny Novgorod).

Krasnoye Sormovo OJSC is one of Russia's oldest shipyards.  It was founded in 1849. In 2011, it entered the United Shipbuilding Corporation. The shipyard is Russia’s leader in construction of civil river and sea-and-river going vessels. Some of Krasnoye Sormovo ships are in the list of Significant Ships of RINA (Royal Institution of Naval Architects).  

United Shipbuilding Corporation (USC OJSC) is the largest shipbuilding company in Russia. It was set up in 2007 with 100% federal ownership. The holding comprises 60 companies and organizations (major shipbuilding and shiprepairing companies as well as leading design bureaus). Currently, USC consolidates about 80% of the domestic shipbuilding complex. The Russian market is the main focus of the state corporation though it also exports its products to 20 countries worldwide.
