Yaroslavsky Shipyard unveils small fishing trawler concept (graphic)
The Yaroslavsky Shipyard in-house design department has developed a concept and initial design of small fishing trawler (Project 02960), the shipbuilding company said.
The Ice 1 class fishing boat with a stern trawling is capable of operation in ice-free seas, including in ice conditions.
The trawler is intended for year-round fishing of sprat, herring and cod by bottom and pelagic trawls, as well as transporting bulk catch and supply chilled fish.
Key particulars: LOA - about 23.6 m, breadth overall - about 8.2 m, draft overall - about 4.9 meters, displacement - about 440 tonnes, crew / accommodations - 8/10, speed – not less than 8 kn, propulsion – 370 kW main, cargo hold capacity - about 100 cbm.
PJSC Yaroslavsky Shipbuilding Plant (Yaroslavsky Shipyard, managed by JSC FINSUDPROM) is located in the central part of Russia on the Volga River. The shipyard was incorporated in 1993. The company specializes in the construction of civil and naval ships. Yaroslavlsky Shipyard has been for many years one of the major suppliers of sea / ocean-going tugs for Russian law enforcement agencies. The company has build so far 76 ocean-going tugs, mainly of Projects 745 and 1454, and modifications.
