Hapag-Lloyd hikes rates on NE-SAEC trade

Hapag-Lloyd has announced General Rate Increase for all cargoes and all container types on the North Europe to East Coast South America trade. The Company said the rates increase is due to worsened unsustainable rate situation, in line with efforts to sustain services quality.
The new rates will go into effect as from October 1, 2016 and will be as follows:

EUR 200 per 20’ standard container
EUR 300 per 40’ standard / high cube container
EUR 400 per 40’ reefer / high cube reefer container

Hapag-Lloyd is a leading global liner shipping company.
