Dredging works at Sabetta seaport and at the seaway canal in the Gulf of Ob scheduled for 2016 have been completed in full, says press center of FSUE Rosmorport.
The scope of dredging performed this year totaled 17.5 mln cbm. The works involved 23 units of equipment.
The works resulted in creation of a water area for auxiliary and cargo berths as well as a 315-meter wide approach channel with a bottom level of -15.1 meters and a 205-meter wide seaway canal of – 15.1 meters.
“With the project implementation seaport Sabetta is now able to accommodate tankers with a draft of up to 12 meters carrying LNG and gas condensate,” says the statement.
