Within the period of January-September 2016 “Multipurpose Reloading Complex” LLC (MRC, a member of UCL Holding) in the port of Ust-Luga (Leningrad Region) handled 3.315 million tonnes of cargo which is 3% more than for the same period of the last year, the company says in a press release.
The dynamics is positive due to twofold increase in export of manganese ore, the volume of which reached 245 thousand tonnes. At the same time, the volumes of exported power coal – main cargoflow at MRC - are similar to the last year – 3.07 million tonnes.
For nine months of this year the average daily throughput of railcars at the terminal increased by 1% up to 168 units, with the maximum throughput of 307 semi-wagons a day, which is 14% more than the maximum index of January-September period of the last year.
In total, 43128 semi-wagons of coal and 2880 of manganese ore were handled at the berths of MRC. In the mentioned period 85 vessels were handled at the Terminal.
