As of 4 November 2016, throughput of Rosterminalugol OJSC in 2016 reached 15 million tonnes, the Company’s press release says.
The milestone tonne was loaded onto dry bulk carrier Kasnellit Wave. The Panamax class ship will deliver 82,300 t of Kuzbass coal to one of the European ports.
The Kasnellit Wave is the 236th ship loaded at the terminal from the year beginning and the third in November. In 2015, the same result was achieved in November 9.
JSC Rosterminalugol was established in 1996 to build and operate the coal terminal at the port of Ust-Luga (the Baltic Sea). The Company specializes in loading / unloading operations, freight forwarding services, as well as operation of the coal terminal facilities. The coal terminal has two berths with total length of 565.4 meters. The depth at Berths No 1 and No 2 is 14 and 16 accordingly allowing them to accommodate vessels of up to 240 m in length and 32.2 m in breadth. In 2015, coal exports via the terminal rose 13%, year-on-year, to 17.465 mln t.
