Oil shipment from Kozmino Port to Asian-Oceanian countries totals 150 mln t from port commissioning
On November 02, 2016 oil shipment from Transneft – Kozmino Port achieved the level of 150 million tons of oil from the moment of commissioning of Kozmino Port on December 28, 2009. According to Transneft Kozmino Port LLC, the 150-million ton of oil was shipped to the tanker SEA HOLLY, which moored to berth No. 1 at night on November 01, 2016 and after finishing shipment departed to China. SEA HOLLY is the 262th tanker, serviced in Kozmino Port from the beginning of 2016.
The amount of oil, shipped for export in the Oil Port "Kozmino" is annually increasing. In 2015 export of ESPO oil from Kozmino was equal to 30.4 million tons, which is 5.5 million tons more than in 2014. In 2016 it is planned to export more than 31 million tons of oil from Kozmino.
At the present time works on reconstruction of an approach embankment and bottom dredging of water area near berth No. 2 have been finished, which will allow receiving tankers with deadweight of 150 thousand tons at both berths. The main receivers of Russian ESPO oil, shipped by Transneft – Kozmino Port, are China, Japan, South Korea, Singapore, Thailand, Philippines, Malaysia, New Zealand, the USA.
