First tests of unmanned seacraft in Russia to be held in 2018

First tests of unmanned seacraft in Russia are to be held in 2018 in the Gulf of Finland, IAA PortNews correspondent cites Vitaly Klyuev, Director of the Department of State Policy for Maritime and River Transport of Russia’s Transport Ministry, who headed Russian delegation at the 18th meeting of the Russian-German Joint Commission on maritime shipping held in Saint-Petersburg. According to Vitaly Klyuev, in the framework of MariNet project and under the umbrella of RF Transport Ministry FSUE Rosmorport is looking into creation of an area for testing unmanned seacraft in the Gulf of Finland.

As Reinhard Klingen, Director-General for Waterways and Shipping, German Federal  Ministry of Transport and Digital Infrastructure, said at the meeting, the question is not if unmanned seacrafts will appear but when they will appear.
