Due to ice formation and deterioration of ice situation in the Tsimlyanskoye water storage basin and on the Volga-Don canal, transit vessels bound for the Volga river should have an ice class (Volga-Don Administration Order No 171 dated 17 November 2016), says press center of Azov-Don Basin Administration.
Vessels can pass Kochetkovsky hydrosystem towards the Volga river up to 25 November 2016.
Transit for ice class vessels going to inland water ways of the Azov-Don Basin (towards Volga) is open till 25 November 2016.
Vessels to be loaded at Bagayevskaya, Semikarakorsk and Konstantinovsk can pass till 28 November 2016.
The deadline for vessels bound for lay-up at Ust-Donetsk port, Semikarakorsk, Bagayevskaya –1 December 2016.
Aids to navigation and hydraulic engineering structures are operational till December 1, 2016.
According to the statement, the navigation can be closed earlier due to deterioration of ice situation in the basin.
