Vympel Shipyard (Rybinsk, Yaroslavl Region) says it has delivered two hydrographic vessel of Project 19920 to RF Navy.
Upon completion of the mooring trials the ship will be towed to Sevastopol for sea and state tests. The ship will be deployed for operation in the Black and the Azov Seas.
Hydrographic boat БГК-2154 launched on 2 September 2016 was delivered on 24 November in Severodvinsk. The boat will be deployed by RF Navy’s Northern Fleet.
Hydrographic boat БГК-2150 launched on 5 July 2016 was delivered on 21 November in Sevastopol. The boat will be deployed in the Black Sea and the Azov Sea area.
These are the forth and the fifth boats in the series being built by Vympel Shipyard under the contract with RF Navy’s Hydrographic Service.
Big hydrographic survey vessels of Project 19920 are intended for high-precision 3-D bottom survey, servicing of floating and nonfloating aids to navigation, delivery of personnel and cargo to unimproved shore.
