Throughput of port Kavkaz up 3% to 31.62 mln t in 2016

In January-December 2016, port Kavkaz handled 31.620 mln t of cargo (+3%, year-on-year), Harbour Master of port Kavkaz Yevgeny Tuzinkevich told IAA PortNews.

Off-harbour transshipment complex handled 11.411 mln t of export cargo (-34%, year-on-year).

Transshipment of oil products increased by 6% to 13.291 mln t, grain – by 24% to 5.299 mln t, sulphur and mineral fertilizers – by 27% to 3.246 mln t. Transshipment of LPG fell by 6% to 169,000 t.

Exports from port Kavkaz fell by 88% to 388,000 t, imports – by 63% to 92,000 t. Short-sea traffic surged by 104% to 19.270 mln t.

Passenger turnover climbed by 23% to 5,927,536 passengers.

Bunker sales at the port declined by 12% to 460,000 t. 

The number of calls increased by 27% to 27,205 calls.
