The Supervisory Board of the Free Port of Vladivostok chaired by Deputy Prime Minister Yury Trutnev, Presidential Plenipotentiary Envoy to the Far Eastern Federal District, held in Vladivostok approved 38 investment projects with total private investments exceeding RUB 12 bln and generation of 1,240 jobs, says Far East Development Corporation.
The meeting was attended by representatives of the Ministry for the Development of the Russian Far East, Primorsky Territory Governor Vladimir Miklushevsky, heads of Primorye municipalities, Director General of Far East Development Corporation Denis Tikhonov, heads of companies – potential residents of the Free Port of Vladivostok.
According to Yury Trutnev, the number of applications from potential investors has exceed expectations. “Today, we have considered and approved 38 applications. Earlier, the status of FPV was obtained by 123 companies. So the list of residents now numbers 160 companies. We have more applications. Their number has exceeded our expectations”, he said.
Among the projects are the construction of wastewater treatment facilities based on membrane technology (RUB 5.4 mln), construction of a residential area (RUB 2.9 bln), aquaculture and fish processing projects, construction of logistics, storage and production facilities, production and processing of natural resources, etc.
Since the signing of the Federal Law on FPV, Far East Development Corporation has received 235 applications from potential residents with their investment projects exceeding RUB 300 bln. As of today, the list of residents numbers 123 companies with the scope of investments estimated at RUB 187.9 bln. More than 23,000 jobs are to be generated under those projects.
