Vympel Shipyard lays down armament support ship of Project 20360М for RF Navy (photo)
Vympel Shipyard (Rybinsk, Yaroslavl Region) says it laid down new generation armament support ship of Project 20360М on 5 May 2017 (Hull No 01551).
The ship is designed by Vympel Design Bureau (Nizhny Novgorod).
The contract between Vympel Shipyard and RF Defence Ministry for construction of two armament support ships of Project 20360М was signed on 25 March 2016.
The ship named Gennady Dmitriyev is to be delivered to the customer by 25 November 2019. Homeported in Sevastopol she will join the Black Sea Fleet of RF Navy.
Vympel Shipyard says it will be the largest ship ever built at its facilities. Her length will be 77 m, width – 15.8 m, displacement – 3,627 t.
