MSC announce the ‘IMED’ service between the East Mediterranean & India
MSC has announced the ‘IMED’ service which will provide weekly, fixed-day sailings between the east Mediterranean and India.
This announcement of this service reaffirms MSC’s commitment to Indian trade; providing fast transit times and extensive port coverage.
The transit time from Asyaport (Tekirdag) to Nhava Sheva which will take just 22 days. Meanwhile, MSC will leverage its major hubs of Salalah, King Abdullah Port and Asyaport to cover ports throughout Somalia, the Red Sea, and the Black Sea.
The service will comprise of 6 x 3,000 TEU vessels operating on a fixed weekly rotation, as follows: Nhava Sheva – Hazira – Mundra – Salalah – King Abdullah – Port Said West – Mersin – Istanbul – Asyaport (Tekirdag) – Piraeus – Iskenderun – King Abdullah – Salalah – Nhava Sheva.
The IMED service will commence with the MV Cali, voyage IT721A, and will depart from Nhava Sheva on the 24th May 2017.
