Throughput of Ukraine’s seaports in Jan-April'17 climbed by 2.3% Y-o-Y to 44.05 mln t
In January-April 2017, seaports of Ukraine handled 44.058 mln t of cargo, up 2.3%, year-on-year, says press center of Ukrainian Sea Ports Authority.
Transshipment of export cargo totaled 34.3 mln t (+2.4%), imports – 6.029 mln t (+7.4%), transit – 3.440 mln t (- 3.1%), inland traffic – 288,000 t (-23.5%).
The highest results were demonstrated by port Yuzhny – 14.48 mln t (+0.3%, year-on-year), Odessa – 8.42 mln t (+0.6%), Nikolayev – 8.05 mln t (+13%).
In the reporting period, transshipment of liquid bulk cargo grew by 10.5% to 3.744 mln t including 1.13 mln t handled by Nikolayev port (+47%), 1.0 mln t – by Yuzhny port (-22.7%) and 0.78 mln t – by Odessa port (+29.3%).
Transshipment of dry bulk cargo totaled 31.95 mln t (+6%, year-on-year) including 13.02 mln t handled by Yuzhny port (+1.5%), 6.13 mln t – by Nikolayev port (+17.2%), 3.55 mln t - by Chernomorsk port (-18.7%) and 3.52 mln t – by Odessa port (+8.3%).
Container throughput in seaports of Ukraine t grew by 1.9% to 193,835 TEUs including 165,694 TEUs handled by Odessa seaport.
From the beginning of the year, seaports of Ukraine handled 3,569 vessels (4.7%, year-on-year).
