In January-April 2017, sea transport hub of Taganrog handled 819,900 t of cargo (+12.4%, year-on-year), the Harbour Master’s office of port Taganrog told IAA PortNews.
In the reporting period transshipment of grain climbed by 2.5% to 292,700 t, coal – by 7.7% to 188,200, ferrous metal – 7.3 times to 74,300 t while transshipment of oil product fell by 13.3% to 194,600 t.
Exports grew by 19.7% to 559,700 t, imports – 4.6 times to 34,800 t. Short-sea traffic dropped by 11.5% to 225,400 t.
In the 4-month period, the Harbour Master’s office of port Taganrog registered 238 arrivals and 221 departures against 201 arrivals and 193 departures in January-April 2016.
