The Port of Gdansk at the Transport Logistics fair in Munich
Between 9 and 12 May 2017, another edition of the Transport Logistics trade fair for logistics, mobility, IT and supply chain management took place, and the Port of Gdansk had the opportunity to present its offering there, the Port of Gdansk Authority said in a press release.
The fair is organised every two years and is the only one in Europe to include all the primary types of transport - land, air and water transport - as well as logistics and e-business in its scope. Just like during the previous editions, major companies from the transport and logistics sector presented themselves in Munich. Leading logistics and freight forwarding companies, shipowners, terminals, land transport carriers, ports and many others were present at Munich's fair. During its four days, the fair was visited by over 2,000 exhibitors and 55,000 visitors. Apart from Gdansk, ports which presented their offering included Hamburg, Rotterdam, Bremerhaven, Gothenburg, Amsterdam, Stockholm, Dunkirk and Barcelona.
The container and automotive markets, which are developing rapidly at Gdansk's port, enjoyed particular interest. Also, companies interested in the warehousing market participated in numerous conversations held at the Port of Gdansk's stand. The huge number of visitors to the PGA stand shows that the Port of Gdansk is marking its presence on the logistics map more and more clearly.
Visitors had a chance to talk to representatives not only of the Port of Gdansk Authority, but also the DCT Gdansk container terminal and the Port Gdanski Eksploatacja company. We hope that the talks will bear fruit soon.
