Vyborg Shipyard will build two trawlers of Project ST-116XL-FOR for FOR GROUP
Vyborg Shipyard (part of Russian shipbuilding conglomerate USC) says it signed contracts for construction of trawlers with FOR GROUP companies: Atlantrybflot and LKT Company.
Under the contract signed on 18 May 2017, the shipyard will build two trawlers of Project ST-116XL-FOR. The vessels designed by Skipsteknisk (Norway) are intended for catching fish in the Barents Sea.
The first ship is to be laid down in 2021. Both deliveries are scheduled for 2022.
Vyborg Shipyard JSC (corporate member of United Shipbuilding Corporation) is one of the largest shipbuilding companies in the North-Western Region of Russia. From the date of its foundation in 1948 the Shipyard has built 210 different vessels, 9 offshore drilling rigs and 105 topside modules for fixed offshore platforms with total displacement of over 1,550,000 t.
United Shipbuilding Corporation (USC OJSC) is the largest shipbuilding company in Russia. It was set up in 2007 with 100% federal ownership. The holding comprises 40 companies and organizations (major shipbuilding and shiprepairing companies as well as leading design bureaus). FOR GROUP is a brand that unites a number of the leading fishing companies in North-West region of Russia. 150 000 mt of fish are processed by vessels annually.
