Mitigation of negative impact on environment and optimization of construction costs considered at Rosmorrechflot’s meeting on Bagayevsky hydrosystem
The meeting on designing of Bagayevsky hydrosystem on the Don river was held at Federal Marine and River Transport Agency (Rosmorrechflot) on 18 May 2017.
The meeting chaired by Victor Olersky, Deputy Minister of Transport of the Russian Federation, head of Rosmorrechflot, was attended by the leading experts and hydraulic engineers, ecologists and representatives of fishery and design organizations.
The meeting participants looked into possible reduction of the flooded area to mitigate negative impact on the environment and optimization of the construction costs.
Construction of the Bagayevsky hydrosystem is included into the Federal Targeted Programme “Development of Russia’s Transport System in 2010–2020”.
