On June 8, 2017 Mir sailing ship arrived in Alborg (Denmark) to take part in Aalborg Regatta 2017 festival, says press center of FSUE Rosmorport.
For the period of mooring in the seaport, an open board will be organized on the ship. Everyone interested will be able to visit the sailing ship and meet the crew members. Cadets of Admiral Makarov State University of Maritime and Inland Shipping and its branch Voronin Arctic Maritime University undergoing training aboard the vessel will conduct excursions for guests of the ship.
Mir participation in Aalborg Regatta will become an outstanding event for its crew. This regatta is held every year and gathers many guests and participants.
This year the event will be held from June 9 to June 11. Visitors of the holiday will attend musical performances, a cooking show, festive fireworks and others.
The ship’s mooring in Aalborg will last till June 11. Then Mir will leave for Den Helder, the Netherlands, where it is expected to arrive on June 22.
