On 5 July, in Sevastopol there was a solemn ceremony of meeting the new frigate of the Black Sea Fleet ‘Admiral Essen’, says press center of RF Defence Ministry.
During the period of being a part of the Navy’s permanent grouping in the Mediterranean Sea, the crew under the command of Captain 2 Rank Anton Kuprin successfully solved combat missions, carrying out jointly with the submarine "Krasnodar" missile attacks against groups of terrorists in Syria.
In Sevastopol, the frigate was met by the Commander of the Black Sea Fleet Admiral Aleksandr Vitko, family members of servicemen, seamen and veterans of the formation of surface warships.
