Omsk Branch of Glavgosexpertiza of Russia (Russia's state expert evaluation authority) has issued a positive conclusion on the project for the development of Novoportovskoye Phase II, says press center of Glavgosexpertiza.
Experts of Glavgosexpertiza came to the conclusion that the results of engineering surveys and design documentation comply with the requirements of technical regulations and other established requirements.
The Novoportovskoye field being developed by Gazpromneft-Yamal LLC is one of the most significant oil and gas condensate fields currently under development in the Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous Okrug. Recoverable C1 and C2 reserves are estimated at more than 250 million tonnes of crude and condensate, as well as more than 320 billion cubic metres of gas (including Palaeozoic deposits). The field is located in the south—east of the Yamal Peninsula, some 250 kilometres north of Nadym, and 30 kilometres from the coast of the Gulf of Ob.
Phase I of the project obtained state expert approval in 2014.
Phase II provides for the development of 303 wells and construction of infrastructure: some 49 km of oil and gas network, more than 46 km high-pressure water pipelines, about 26 km of approaching highways with two bridge crossings and approximately 65 km of overhead power lines.
