Total amount of Gosmorrechnadzor’s fines exceeded RUB 15 mln in January-August 2017, IAA PortNews correspondent Samvel Sarkisyan, deputy head of the Authority, as saying at the public discussions at Federal Agency for Transport Supervision.
In the 8-month period of 2017, Gosmorrechnadzor (State Marine and River Supervisory Authority) held 1,924 inspections and eliminated 3,300 violations.
The most frequent violations related to safety of ship operation were violations of navigation and berthing rules, as well as the rules for port entry/departure, passenger capacity and loading norms, fire safety regulations, etc. Gosmorrechnadzor also notes the growing number of violations of the NSR navigation rules.
