ANL Container Line celebrates return to Port of Townsville

ANL Container Line representatives will gather with importers, exporters, local government representatives and Port of Townsville staff at The Ville to mark the official launch of ANL’s successful return to the North Queensland market, the company said in its press release.

ANL is part of the CMA CGM Group, the third largest container shipping line in the world, and offers shipping services across the globe.

Its container liner service (APR), which typically carries freight such as solar farm equipment, essential household items and retail goods to supply the North Queensland region, provides a direct link between Townsville North Queensland and South East Asia via its extensive global network, to all worldwide destinations. Managing Director ANL John Lines said he looked forward to welcoming guests to thank them personally for their great support.

Port of Townsville General Manager Business Development Claudia Brumme-Smith said the port was very pleased to welcome ANL back to Townsville. “In April this year we welcomed ANL back to Townsville and then were delighted to see it expand so quickly by adding a direct service to South East Asia,” said Ms Brumme-Smith.

ANL General Manager Business Development Chris Schultz said that ANL’s return to Townsville was going extremely well. “Our confidence in the Townsville market was reflected by our service upgrade, which now offers North Queensland direct connections to South East Asia and beyond from Townsville,” said Mr Schultz.
