Seaports of Ukraine handled 109 mln t of cargo in 10M’17, up 0.6% Y-o-Y

In January-October 2017, seaports of Ukraine handled 109 mln t of cargo, up 0.6%, year-on-year, says press center of Ukrainian Sea Ports Authority.

Transshipment of export cargo totaled 82 mln t (+ 0.6%, year-on-year) including 31.8 mln t of grain, 28.1 mln t of mining and metal product and 4.5 mln t of vegetable oil (+ 28.5%); import – 16.1 mln t (+20.7 %) including 4.5 mln t of coal (+48.1%).

Transshipment of transit cargo totaled 9.7 mln t (+7.7%).

Container throughput climbed by 1.7% to 495,000ТЕUs.

The following ports have shown the largest volumes of cargo handling: Yuzhny port – 34.9 mln t (+5.9%), Odessa – 19.9 mln t (- 3.4%), Nikolaev  - 19.2 mln t (+ 6.7%), Chernomorsk  - 14.1 mln t (+ 9.4%).
