  Directorate of the State Customer issues an invitation to tender on construction of a freight and passenger ship designed by Nordic Engineering

  

  FSI Directorate of the State Customer has issued an invitation to tender on construction of a freight and passenger ship designed by Nordic Engineering. According to tender documentation, maximum contract price is RUB 920 mln, bidding deadline - 18 January 2018.
  
  The vessel will be built to fulfill the order of RF President Vladimir Putin for a link between the Komandorskiye Islands and Severo-Kurilsk with Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky.
  
  Vessel’s length is about 75 m, BOA – 13.64 m. It will be capable of sailing independently in loose brash ice of up to 55 cm thick or follow an icebreaker in field ice of up to 50 cm.
  
  Russian designing company Nordic Engineering is founded by a Nordic Yards Holding GmbH (Germany) established in 2009. Nordic Engineering JSC left the structure of its major shareholder, Nordic Yards GmbH, in 2016. For many years Nordic Yards Holding GmbH had been taking part in all German shipbuilding projects including those on construction of two sophisticated rescue ships for a Russian customer.
