Rosmorport target classroom opens at Admiral Makarov State University of Maritime and Inland Shipping
A solemn ceremony devoted to opening the FSUE “Rosmorport” target classroom – the Polytechnic laboratory of the Water Transport Institute was held at Admiral S.O. Makarov State University of Maritime and Inland Shipping on February 12, 2018, Rosmorport says in it press release.
The ceremony involved FSUE “Rosmorport” Deputy General Director Oksana Gubina, Vice-Rector for International Relations of Admiral Makarov State University of Maritime and Inland Shipping Viktoria Marich, Director of the Water Transport Institute Yuri Yezhov, cadets of the university and representatives of the sector.
Oksana Gubina congratulated the audience on this remarkable event. She noted that strong many-years relationship united FSUE “Rosmorport” and the university. Every year hundreds of cadets of the university undergo training aboard the Mir sailing ship. Moreover, this year the university has joined in carrying out FSUE “Rosmorport” programs of extended education at the best children’s centers – the Artek and the Orlyonok.
“Due to the new classroom presented by FSUE “Rosmorport” to the university, cadets will have an opportunity to to acquire new skills that will help them in mastering new professions and in real life,” she said.
For their part, representatives of the university spoke about the purposes and the designation of the new classroom. They thanked for aid in organizing the educational process. Modern training resources presented in the classroom will allow cadets to organize practical studies and scientific researches with great interest.
Practical studies with cadets and students of Admiral Makarov State University of Maritime and Inland Shipping in all fields will be organized on the basis of the target classroom. The priority of such projects is to awaken the young generation’s interest in maritime professions and further receive competent and highly qualified specialists who love and value their work.
During the ceremony, honorary guests cut the ribbon and thus opened the new laboratory. Then a film on the activity of the university has been shown to participants of the event held in the new classroom.
