ESL Shipping invests in safety at work

SL Shipping, Bore and Finnlines jointly invest in the development of occupational safety training. SL Shipping says the development program is supported by the insurance company Alandia, who support projects aiming to improve occupational safety.

The target is to create an occupational health and safety training package consisting a familiarization module for everybody giving a general understanding of the most important parts of occupational safety issues and related Finnish regulations and an expanded module for Occupational Safety Representatives and Managers, that would be available for self-studies. The aim of this package is to ensure that all onboard become aware of the cornerstones of the workplace safety and that all Occupational Safety Representatives and Managers get basic training in these matters.
