Throughput of port Kavkaz in 4M’18 up 51% Y-o-Y to 11.28 million tonnes

In January-April 2018, port Kavkaz handled 11.288 million tonnes of cargo (+51%, year-on-year). According to statistics obtained by IAA PortNews regional correspondent from the port Authority, exports from the port fell by 39% to 225,000 tonnes, imports grew by 35% to 40,500 tonnes, short-sea traffic – surged by 62% to 7.417 million tonnes

In the reporting period, exports via the port’s offshore transshipment facility increased by 45% to 3.528 million tonnes.

Grain transshipment surged 3.2 times to 4.942 million tonnes, transshipment of oil products – by 6% to 2.200 million tonnes.

In the 4-month period, passenger traffic grew by 15.5% to 952,801 passengers.

Bunker sales at port Kavkaz increased by 33% to 78,000 tonnes.

The number of calls to port Kavkaz grew by 27% to 8,241 calls.
