Rosmorport continues providing icebreaker assistance in the Arctic Basin

Rosmorport continues providing icebreaker assistance in the Arctic Basin. From the beginning of this winter navigation season, icebreakers of FSUE Rosmorport have escorted 5,879 vessels, says the company.

326 vessels were assisted in the White Sea, 2,258 vessels – in the Gulf of Finland, 2,461 vessels in the Azov Sea, 512 vessels in the Caspian Sea, 302 vessels in the Far East Basin (ports of Vanino and Magadan). 

The following icebreaker continue operating in the Arctic Basin: Moskva, Vladivostok, Kapitan Dranitsyn. Icebreaker assistance is being provided at port Sabetta (144 units), Pechora Sea (17 units) and in the area of Frantz Josef Land (1 unit).

Rosmorport’s fleet of diesel fueled icebreakers numbers 36 ships of different capacity.
