Nevsky Shipyard says “Spasatel Kavdeykin" took part in oil spill response exercises in the Gulf of Chikhachev on May 31, 2018 near the seaport of De-Kastri (Northern part of the Tatar strait). The training exercise was conducted to localize and eliminate the oil spill during transshipment of oil to the tanker from the remote single-point wharf "Sokol" of « Exxon Neftegas Limited» in gulf the of Chikhachev and on its shoreline.
During the exercises:
• OSR system was tested
• Interaction of own and attracted forces and assets for elimination of the maximum estimated volume of the oil spill was worked out
The exercises were successful, the educational goals were achieved and the tasks were fulfilled.
«Spasatel Kavdeykin» is a unique multifunctional salvage vessel by it equipment and available technology, built in 2013 by the Nevsky Shipyard, commissioned by the Federal Agency for Maritime and River Transport of the Ministry of Transport of Russian Federation for Morspasluzhba of Rosmorrechflot.
In total, the Nevsky Shipyard built four ships of the MPSV07 project. Designer - Marine Engineering Bureau.
