In January-July 2018, the port of Rostov-on-Don handed 12.863 million tonnes of cargo (+17%, year-on-year), the port’s statistics shows.
The Harbour Master’s office says loading grew by 29% to 9.129 million tonnes which makes 71% of the port’s total throughput.
Unloading has thus dropped by 2.6% to 337,000 tonnes, down 23%, year-on-year.
In the 7-month period, transit grew by 4% to 3.397 million tonnes.
In the reporting period, transshipment of grain grew by 94% to 5.764 million tonnes, transshipment of oil products climbed by 9% to 4.133 million tonnes.
